becky Sauerbrunn

Becky Sauerbrunn is a retired professional soccer player for the USWNT and the Portland Thorns. She co-hosts a weekly podcast, Good Vibes FC, as part of The Women's Game, a women's soccer media vertical. She also has a blossoming career in broadcasting doing studio analysis for USWNT games for Turner.

After graduating from University of Virginia, Sauerbrunn had a long, successful career as a center back for the USWNT and in the NWSL. She won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015 and 2019, won an Olympic gold medal in 2012 and a bronze medal in 2021. A natural leader, Sauerbrunn achieved 219 caps for the USWNT and was captain for many years. In the NWSL, Sauerbrunn won 3 championships and was a 4x Defender of the Year.

Off the field, Sauerbrunn was President of the USWNT Players Association for many years, largely helping the union navigate their fight for equal pay. She is an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and for making sport more accessible to underserved populations.

SAM MEWIS

Samantha Mewis is Editor-in-Chief of The Women’s Game, part of the Men in Blazers Media Network. Mewis leads all women’s soccer coverage, overseeing all content output across its broad distribution platform. She hosts two weekly digi-casts – Good Vibes FC with co-hosts and former teammates Becky Sauerbrunn and Lynn Williams, and “Friendlies” where she interviews the biggest names in global Women’s soccer.

Mewis was a champion at all levels during her playing career. A UCLA alum, Mewis led the Bruins to the 2013 national championship in her junior year. Mewis was drafted by the Western New York Flash in 2015, starting all 20 regular-season games as a rookie. In 2016, she helped the Cinderella team win the league championship by scoring crucial goals in both the semis and the final. After the team relocated to North Carolina becoming the Courage, Sam led the team the 2017, 2018, and 2019 NWSL Shields and 2018 and 2019 NWSL Championships.

Mewis' career pinnacle was winning the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with the USWNT. She was also named the #1 Player in the World by ESPNFC in 2021 during her time with Manchester City. Mewis and her older sister, Kristie, are Bronze medalists from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Off the pitch, Mewis worked with her teammates to lead the USWNTPA fight for equal pay.

lynn Biyendolo

Lynn Biyendolo is a professional soccer player for the USWNT and the Seattle Reign of the NWSL. She co-hosts a weekly podcast, Good Vibes FC, as part of The Women's Game, a women's soccer media vertical. Biyendolo also hosts "Cooked" a series about her and her husband's adventures in the kitchen.

After graduating from Pepperdine, Biyendolo entered the NWSL, winning the NWSL Championship and NWSL MVP in just her second season in the league. She has since won 3 additional NWSL Championships and 3 NWSL Shields. Biyendolo has earned 86 caps for the USWNT, winning an Olympic gold medal in 2024 and a bronze medal in 2021. She has scored 25 goals for the United States.

Biyendolo has been an advocate for equality, championing both the USWNT's fight for equal pay and the Black Women's Player Collective. She is passionate about her off-field endeavors in entrepreneurship, fashion, and sports media.
